Dr. Jacqueline Chan
Dr. Jacqueline Chan grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, and is happy to be back home to serve her
community.
Dr. Chan is both Canadian and American board-certified and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Alberta before earning her Doctor of Optometry degree with Gold Key Honour from the University of the Incarnate Word, Rosenberg School of Optometry in Texas.
Dr. Chan has practiced in a variety of settings, from academia to private practice. She served as Director of the Lions Low Vision Center of Texas and as an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science. She has taught and trained optometry students, residents and ophthalmology residents on low vision rehabilitation, optics and contact lenses. Dr. Chan received research grants during her optometry career, where she is the author and co-author of several articles from her clinical research.
Dr. Chan has a special interest in low vision rehabilitation, contact lenses, and ocular disease, and she is passionate about helping her patients see their best at every stage of life. She welcomes all seeking eye care in English and Chinese.
