Dr. Giang has called Edmonton home since the age of two, but her passion for eye care began when she received her first pair of glasses at just eight years old. Inspired by the positive impact her optometrist had on her life, she looked forward to every annual eye exam—a passion that would eventually become her career.
In 2009, while serving on a mission trip to India, Dr. Giang helped provide eye care to underserved communities. Witnessing the life-changing difference that clear vision can make inspired her to pursue optometry and dedicate her career to helping others protect and improve their sight.
Dr. Giang is a residency-trained optometrist with advanced expertise in ocular disease and family eye care. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta before graduating with Honours from The Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, Texas. She then completed a residency in Ocular Disease and Family Practice at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry, where she received advanced clinical training in diagnosing and managing a wide range of eye conditions.
Since joining Capital Vision Care in 2016, Dr. Giang has been committed to providing thorough, personalized eye care for patients of all ages. She believes the best care comes from building lasting relationships and taking the time to understand each patient’s unique needs. Whether it’s a routine eye exam, managing an eye condition, or helping someone find their best vision, Dr. Giang strives to ensure every patient feels comfortable, heard, and confident in their eye health.
